Little Felt Christmas Tree

I was linking up my puppy pj pattern earlier today and I kept seeing these cute little ribbon Christmas trees everywhere...well, actually I have been seeing them and I wanted to make some but then I got the idea to use felt.  So here is my version...

It's a little sloppy, but still cute.  I know there are a million tutorial out there and this is pretty simple so I'll spare you a long explanation but here's what I did in as few words as possible...for me anyway.  ; P

I use two sheets of felt and cut them longways into 6 - 3" x 12" strips.

Ran a bead of hot glue a smooshed the cut edges together.  Then I snipped the folded end with pinking shears...I attempted to leave about one half inch uncut but sometimes I got a little over excited with the scissors...hence the sloppy look...it made them not fall evenly...you'll see what I mean if you do it.

I thought the kids would want to help me, but they were too busy watching the big truck trim the trees outside...

And making pillow mountains, with my couch cushions...

For the star, I just used some red wire I had and bent it into a star.  Sophie asked why I was putting Patrick on top of the tree...lol

I am debating whether to glue these little presents on or not....Whatda ya think??
