We're goin' to the chapel...

You may remember me saying I was working on a wedding dress.  Well, it was for my nanny's wedding which was last night.  So here are some pictures.  I also made the flower girl dress but it ended up being too long and the arms were too big...which now looking at the picture it's easy to see that they would be to big.  I only had a few weeks for both dresses and we were only able to fit the flower girl dress once.  It was on the Sunday before the wedding and the wedding was Tuesday.  I felt so bad that it didn't fit but everyone else seemed more disappointed than I was.  ( not with me but they just really liked the dress)  They just went out and bought one.  I offered to sell it in my etsy shop to at least get the money for the materials but they said she can wear it as a birthday dress.  Thats what's great about working for family...they are understanding when you don't get it right.  But my nanny loved her dress so I was really happy about that, and everyone complimented me on it and her friends kept coming up to me and telling me how happy she was with it so that really made me feel good.

It was a really pretty wedding.  It was in a chapel in the middle of the woods.  You should have seen the directions!  They were absolutely hilarious!  I won't be able to say it as funny as they were but they were like turn down a gravel road, take a left at the hedge of bushes, then look for the glow sticks and park, and go through the opening in the bushes and there is the chapel.  It was so funny!  We were like see that is why people make fun of people from Louisiana!  lol  But that's okay!  We are proud to be from the country!

Anyway, enough babbling....

This chapel was built from reclaimed wood by a dentist and some of his friends on his property...he just lets family and friends use.  It's really lovely.

I was quiet obessed with taking pics of the oranges as you'll see...

I definately cheated and ate a big piece of this cake...Jen I don't want to hear it!  It's too late...I already ate it!  lol

Her son walked her down the isle.

Told ya about the oranges...

Her grandson.  Isn't he a cutie?

Aww!

My poor lonely dress!  It was much prettier in person.  The overskirt was this sparkly tulle, but not the glitter kind...it sort of looked like teeny little flecks of ice...I really don't know how to expain it but I just can't get the sparkles on the camera....

I got a new camera...it's a Canon Powershot and all my pics seem to come out grainy and if you move a teeny little bit its all blurry...Anyone have any tips?   I took a photography class a long long time ago but I don't remember what any of the settings do and I tried messing with it but nothing really seemed to help.
Anyway, hope you liked the pics...♥

Great, the orange is perfect. The texture is bold.

Hi! Great job on the dress! Your nanny looked gorgeous and that location is amazing. I grew up in rural northern Maine and get flak for being a country girl...for your amusement...

Oh I think that you did a fabulous job on those dresses. Well done! The bride looks lovely and SO happy.

I have a Powershot too. I get a grainy effect if there isn't enough light. So if it's not bright enough, you have to use the flash. Hope that helps.
