Wear a Flower in Your Hair Challenge & PTR Top 8!

I am so happy to say that I made the top 8 on Project Toddler Runway!  Especially when you consider that I was unable to take decent pics or even finish the dress for that matter.  In person, it really is gorgeous but you could never tell from the aweful pictures I took!

It was inspired by this dress from Holly Stadler

I made the skirt full because I wanted it to be like a fancy party dress because Sophie is having a Ties & Tutus birthday party (more on that later) and I figured I would kill two birds with one stone.  I was going to make a little ruffly shawl thing with a flower like the Holly Stadler dress but I ran out of time.  And I know I said it already but it seriously looks adorable in person!  I guess aparently someone saw that since I made it to the next round... I will finish it and take some good pics that aren't in flouresent lighting and you'll see! hehe

On a not so happy note, I was so sorry to see Andrea from Train to Crazy go.  She really did an awesome job.  I would have never thought of this!  I am so not good at designing things for boys!

Jenn from A Jennuine Life won this challenge.  I think she really did an amazing job mixing two old shirts together to make this adorable dress!  I love the color combo!  She modeled it after the Oliver +S Jumprope DressYou can check out my version here.  If you didn't see it yet.

Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this week!  The challenge is Wear a Flower in Your Hair.

Thanks for linking up! Great job on the adorable dress! I wish we knew who had done all of the projects. I know a few from their posts after voting closed, but I'm still curious for others.

I loved your dress! From the pics it looks like it has a very pretty vintage look. I was frustrated with my pictures of my pants too... I just couldn't get a good picture of them and they came off looking sort of frumpy. Not nearly as fashion forward as they were in my head lol!

soooo cute! It is so hard to get good pictures!! I've read a few tips here and there...not that I follow them...but one thing that seems to help alot is to use either a white poster board or foam board behind your garment..it helps keep the colors true! :) Good luck and congrats!!
