Cherry Crunch

So here is one of my absolute favorite dessert recipes!  It's easy to make and I could probably eat a whole plate in one sitting!

Ingredients:

2 cans cherry pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter/margarine (softened)

Preheat the oven to 350.  Grease pan. I only had one can, so I used a pie plate but typically I would use a 9" x 13" cake pan

Stir together butter and cake mix until well blended, then use your hands to squish it together until it looks like crumbles like this.

Cover the pie filling with cake mix.

Bake for about 35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and crunchy!  Loooovvvee it!!!  It goes really well with vanilla ice cream....

We call it dump cake too :) Instead of using two cans of cherry pie filling, try one can of cherry and one can of crushed pineapple. I don't really like pineapple, but it is UH-mazing in this recipe!
