I'm a ditz!!! AND Sew Crafty Saturday is back!

Yeah, um, completely didn't realize yesterday was Saturday! lol!  I'm so lost.  I have been shopping the last two days and have hardly had any time on the computer, so I am completely lost as to what day it is!  But anyhow, I am super excited to get the party going again, so instead of just waiting until next week, we will just have Sew Crafty Saturday on Sunday!

So how do you like the new blog design?  I am soooo loving it!  Huge thanks to Kayla of Freckles in April!  She is so awesome!  Anyhow, I am super excited to be bringing back Sew Crafty Saturday! And I have got a brand spankin' new {and fabulous} button for it!  So be sure to drop by Saturday and link up what you have been working on lately!  

Now, I have not one, but TWO new features I am starting.  I so love fashion!  Always have.  Always will.  I can't help it.  It just runs in the family.  Anyhow, I have  been wanting to include fashion more on my blog for a very long time now.  So I have come up with two ideas to do that!  The first is going to be a what I wore party called....yep, you guessed it!  

Rock Your Runway!

Where we will come together every Wednesday to show off what we wore, new hairstyles or makeup techniques we tried, etc.

The next idea I have is called Fashion & Flair Fridays.   One of my favorite things about sewing and making patterns is that I can look at a dress that costs thousands of dollars and make it myself for a fraction of the cost...of course, I can't think of a reason {besides my wedding, that is} that I would have to wear a knockoff of a dress that costs thousands of dollars, but you get the point.  Just like with the Little Nora Jane dress, on sale it was still I think $70!  Seriously? $70 on sale for a couple yards of knit fabric???? No thank you!  

So, I have decided to start a series every Friday of tutorials of knockoffs of designer clothes!  I will write some {or most, if need be} of the tutorials,  but what I would REALLY, REALLY LOVE, is to feature some you wonderful talented ladies!  So, if you are interested, please submit your knockoff  idea!

Woohoo!  Am I the only one who is seriously excited???  Oh, oh and don't forget Project Runway tonight!!!! yipeee!  Today is awesome!  The sun is even shining here for the first time in weeks!  Love it, love it!  Now come on ladies! Let's "make it work!"  {Bree that was for you!  wink wink}


Oh, oh, oh! {can you tell I am really excited right now???)  AND I almost forgot to tell you about Bella Before & After's new Healthy & Happy Party.  That will also be on Wednesday's.  She should be posting details soon so be sure to keep an eye out for it!  It will be all about motivating each other to live healthier, exercising, diet, etc.  And also, a place for us to share our triumphs and support one another!

For now anyway.  Good morning everyone!  Thanks so much to all of you who have linked up to Sew Crafty Saturday each week!  I really love seeing what you have all been working on and checking out the links, but there are so many great parties out there, and I feel like I don't have the time to put into advertising it and featuring you guys right now, and it's simply not growing.  So, I am taking a step back, and finishing up some projects, and we will see how it goes.  I may bring it back, but right now I am trying to simplify and get back to posting more tutorials and pattern reviews.  A lot of you have mentioned to me that you don't know how to sew and would love to learn so I really would like to get into posting about the basics, and helping those of you who want to learn.  And sharing patterns with you...I have been running so crazy it's been like eight months and I haven't even posted the pattern for the cranberry dress...most of you have probably forgotten by now! 

I have always had a tendancy to spread myself thin, and I think it's time I get my hand out of everything in blogland and get back to being me and focus on doing what I set out to do.  Which is sharing my designs and love of sewing...and pretty much all things DIY.  With all the things I am doing right now, I spend so much time on the computer trying to keep up I barely have any time to sew, craft or otherwise....So once again thanks so much to all of who linked up each week, I will be doing features from the last party over the course of the week.  I really love having the party, but for now I have to let go of the things I can let go of, and the party is one of them.

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today is the last day of Spring Fling so be sure you check out today's giveaways.  I assure you you won't want to miss them! Also, check me out!  If you look up, I'm a ".com"!!  Woohoo!  Makes me feel all sophisticated! lol  Nah, it really doesn't matter because the old blogspot address will still get you here as well, but if you have ever read any of my blog swaps, you know that eventually, once I get the hang of it,  I would{possibly} like to sell my patterns, so I figured I would go ahead and grab the url now. But don't worry that is a long ways off...I got plenty more free patterns in me! lol  And, seriously, if I ever catch up on all my orders...I think the way to be a successful seamstress is to officially declare that you are not doing it as a business!  Once I did I swear they all came out the woodwork and started ordering up stuff like crazy!  I made 4 dresses yesterday and have 4 more today plus 2 tutus...crazy right?  Where were all these people when I wanted to run a business?  Now that I would rather just blog, they're like nope...  lol Oh! The point of that rambling is I swear I WILL post the pattern for the cranberry dress one of these days!!  Anyhow, I will post the features from last weeks party tomorrow because like I said I have got to get 4 dresses made by 2:30 this afternoon and here I am procrastinating as usual!!! Sew Crafty Saturday~Now With Features!

Hey everyone!  I am super excited to see what you guys have been working on this week.  I will post some features from lasts weeks party soon but right now I have got to run.  It was my dad's birthday yesterday, so we are having a party for him and I almost forgot to put the linky up!  So here it is.  Make sure you check back later for last weeks features!

The Madsen's shard these cute his & hers pillows.

The Bird's Papaya showed us her gorgeous master update.  Once again, I am loving this color scheme!  It looks so serene and peaceful.

Coffee @ 3 made this adorable dress.  I cannot wait to finish up my orders, and destash challenge (more on this soon!...oh yes another super fun event coming up after Spring Fling...so be sure to check back!) so that I can order some of this awesome fabric!  Be sure you check out her post.  You have to see how adorable this dress looks on her little girl!

Sara in Akko made this gorgeous Marc Jacobs knock off.  Once again, I love these colors.  Turquoise & aqua are my faves right now and I especially love them when paired with navy...it's one of my top color schemes for my family room...although I am starting to think I will never make up my mind!  Anyhow, she shares the tutorial too!  So go check it out!
